From where are you?
I am from Russia (born in Sochi, studied in St.Petersburg, worked in Moscow), but now I am living in Italy.
What is it that attracts you the most of what you have around you?
Now my main attractive thing is my family. My son and my husband. Also I am inspired by new countries, new places. I really like to travel and I try to create a photo story from each trip.
Describe some of your projects
In my professional life I am focus on researching soviet 'new wave cinema' of the 60s...probably that's why as a film historian I try to create the atmosphere of my favourite films. Once I made a project dedicated to Jean Cocteau and his first movie Le Sang d'un poète.

What camera do you use? Lense?
I use a lot of analog cameras with different lenses. Now I am discovering middle format and exploring Rolleycord. Also I use Nikon em, Kiev-8, Practika. And I like to do some experimental shot with my broken cameras (Fed-3, Zenit 122) and the old expired films. I notice that with my film camera I can do beautiful mistakes.
Tell about exhibition if you ‘ve had any.
I had a few group exhibitions and three personal. Two in Russia, and one in Italy.
Do you sell prints? How do you make it and where can someone buy?

A personal exhibition in Italy.

I have a lot. My recent favorites are Luigi Ghirri, Nan Goldin, Helmut Newton
What is your occupation, job, interest besides photography. describe it.
I am a film historian, I am writing a book about soviet “new wave” cinema. Besides I am a mum, a wife and a curios traveller.
Which advice would you give someone who wants to become a (professional) photographer?
For my experience of becoming a photographer was important to watch a lot of films, especially silent classics. But I think it’s too much. Just feel what you want to shot, and do it!
